Innovative Ideas

Got the rumblings of a crazy idea?

Great!  So have we.  LOTS of them.

Neurodiverse people are blessed / plagued (depending on your point of view) by a never-ending bombardment of ideas. About everything. All the time. Its like a popcorn machine in our heads with no ‘off’ switch.

At Brainthunder.org, we act as a repository for those ideas, all of which have been considered and subjected to commercial analysis, complete with business plans. Some of them need an investor. Some of them need a commercial partner. All of them are likely to be left-field!

Importantly, with over 30 years in investment banking behind us, we also have direct experience in raising debt and equity. We understand what investors need. We seek partners who have the vision and capability to help make some, or all, of them a reality. Our approach is: listen, analyse, identify, advise, plan, fund and most importantly, execute! Our aim is to help people realise themselves and their potential through our experienced community and supportive relationships.

Why Us?

Neurodivergent people have a natural advantage – the variations in our neurological make-up mean we naturally “think differently”. We don’t just think outside the box, we’re already asking why there needs to be a box at all.  What if it was a sphere instead?

Many creative companies, from NASA to Google to Microsoft, run initiatives to directly recruit neurodivergent talent.

Whether it’s the association between dyslexia and pattern-spotting or ADHD and creative problem solving, neurodivergent people simply don’t see the proverbial box which can limit the creativity of the neurotypical.

Our Community

The term and logo for Brainthunder was coined by my 8 year old neurodiverse son, who told me he always had lots of ideas rumbling around in his head (admittedly, mostly for new Lego projects).  Its like thunder in my brain, Daddy.

"So what?" I hear you say?

Well, it turns out there’s a reason why founders and entrepreneurs like Sir Richard Branson (Virgin), Ingvar Kamprad (IKEA), Steve Jobs (Apple) and David Neeleman (JetBlue) are able to do what they do. They’re neurodivergent, which is a catch-all term for people whose brains work differently.

As Brainthunder.org, we are an independent consultancy and think tank focused on neurodiversity. We provide consulting services to help individuals, businesses, and organizations unlock their potential by leveraging neurodiverse thinking.  We come from varying backgrounds to form a community with the common trait of neurodivergence.
